May I humbly suggest the first thing you do to help navigate your way around this incredible musical event is you purchase the Official Guide to the 2018 Tamworth Country Music Festival.
It’s a whopping 308-page tome, complete with everything you need to know about Tamworth – from tourist atrractions to the latest stars.
The next thing you need to do is print out a copy of the pocket program I’m including with this festival special edition of my blog.
I’ve done all the hard yards, going through the program, picking the eyes out of it – separating the wheat from the chaff, so to speak.
The acts and events listed on my mini-program are what I believe to be the best of the best, but, there’s always room for improvement. You might go out and find some great new acts of your own in your ramblings around Tamworth – and this I heartily encourage.
Don’t forget to keep hydrated. Eat well. Get sufficient sleep – or close to it. And have fun. I’ll see you around the traps. Got a gig to go to!

The official guide has Manilla Services club as having 3 Saturdays in one week! The Tuesday night we have our Manilla Showcaseat 7.30p.m but it says Saturday. Have a great festival Anna. 💜
With the Official Guide, Kerry, it was up to the individual artists to upload their gigs. Or the venue. None of it is physically input by Official Guide staff. Another case of operator error. Whoever uploaded the gigs, obviously doesn’t know what day of the week it is. Cheers and good luck with your showcase.

If you get the chance, go and see Lawson Shire at Diggers Courtyard on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th, both at 7:30pm. They do some awesome covers mixed in with some great originals.
